Sasha Silver, Advisor

Sasha Silver has over a decade of experience in assessing opportunities for financial return and sustainability in the real estate and forestry sectors. Since 2001 she has worked with Credit Suisse in London in its Investment Banking division, where she is currently a Vice President in the Real Estate group. In this capacity she provides corporate finance and advisory services to a range of corporate, institutional, private equity and high net worth individuals located across Europe and emerging markets to support their real estate investment and capital raising activities. Sasha is the Real Estate team's specialist for green building and sustainable development and its liaison to Credit Suisse's Environmental Business Group. In addition to commercial and residential built real estate, she covers timberland and agricultural land investment platforms. Sasha's role as an advisor to EKO is on a personal and voluntary basis only and independent of her position with Credit Suisse.

Sasha is a graduate of the Business and the Environment graduate program at Yale University where she earned her MBA and Masters in Forestry in 2001 and was a Doris Duke Fellow at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. From 1996 to1998 she worked with the Center for Tropical Forest Science at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, focusing on corporate partnerships and financial oversight of an extensive field project network. Other previous positions include with The Nature Conservancy's Eco-Enterprises Fund at its inception in 1999 and the Woodland Park Zoological Society (Seattle, WA) from 1994 to 1995.
